Reverend Heather M. Finck

Heather grew up in Rockland County, New York: a cradle Presbyterian. While attending the College of Wooster, in Wooster, Ohio for her BA in religious studies she spent her junior year abroad at Aberdeen University in Scotland. Graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1996, Heather’s ordained ministry started as a solo pastor in New Jersey. Since then she has served as an associate pastor for pastoral care, an associate for youth ministry, and as a hospital chaplain.

Heather’s work at Freedom Plains began as part time and has evolved until now when she is the installed associate pastor at Freedom Plains United. As a single mother of Caileigh and Aidan her life is often dictated by her children’s school schedule and activities. Heather enjoys connecting with people in small groups; whether in youth fellowships or adult studies. She feels blessed to walk with people through some of the more intimate joys and sorrows of life while remembering God’s abundant love for all. When free time presents itself, Heather loves to travel, read, practice yoga, knit, cook, and sing karaoke.
